Eddie Wineland vs. Yves Jabouin added to UFC on Fox 10

According to reports, the UFC has officially added a matchup between bantamweights Yves Jabouin and former interim bantamweight title challenger Eddie Wineland to UFC on Fox 10 taking place in Chicago early next year.

Wineland, currently ranked number four at 135-pounds according the official UFC divisional rankings, is coming off a second round TKO loss to current UFC interim bantamweight champion Renan Barão at UFC 165. Prior to the loss, the former WEC bantamweight champion was riding a two fight winning streak including a second round knockout over Scott Jorgenson in a Fight of the Night performance at UFC on FX 3.

Jabouin, who has posted an impressive 4-1 record since joining the UFC in 2011, is coming off a split decision victory over Dustin Pague at UFC 161. This fight marked the third split decision “The Tiger” has come out on top in his young UFC career.

UFC on Fox 10 is scheduled to take place on January 25, 2014 at the Unite Center in Chicago. This will be the third straight year the UFC will hold their first Fox card of the year in the windy city. A lightweight matchup between former UFC champion Benson Henderson and former Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson is scheduled to headline the card.
