A flyweight matchup has officially been added to UFC Fight Night 35.
On Thursday UFC officials announced a bout between former 125-pound title challenger John Moraga and the surging Dustin Ortiz has officially been added to to the free card taking place in Georgia early next year.
Moraga, currently ranked fourth in the division according to the official UFC fighter rankings, last fought at UFC on Fox 8 in a bout that saw him fail to capture the UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. Before the loss Moraga had strung together seven consecutive wins, including two stoppage victories in first two UFC fights.
Ortiz, who is coming off a late round TKO victory over Jose Maria Tome at UFC Fight Night 32 in his organizational debut, will enter the fight riding a four fight winnings streak.
UFC Fight Night 33 is scheduled to take place at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia on January 15, 2014 and will air on Fox Sports 1. A middleweight matchup between Luke Rockhold vs. Costa Philippou is scheduled to headline the card.
